When Last We Left Our Heroes…

Masthead looks a lot like an Imperator.

The Rangers had just run into a 3 Headed Putty Shark, which turned into 4 Headed, then 5, and finally 6 before the thing finally flew apart and didn’t come back. Meanwhile, Rose remote piloted her rebuilt Pink Hummingbird Zord out to sea to find the center of the mysterious storm that was pounding Bennet’s Cove and sending relentless waves of Kaiju inland.

Rose’s jaw dropped. In the middle of the storm was a titanic conglomeration of what appeared to be three or four old sailing vessels smashed together. The thing was bristling with cannons, more than a match for the Megazord. On its left shoulder stood a short woman in green robes with a twin pointy hat and a long staff gleaming of magic power. The short sorceress cackled maniacally as she soared off into the sky. The titan began to walk toward shore.

The Megazord, already damaged by the first two Kaiju, was in no shape for a massive fight with a monster twice its size. Alphour sent a schematic to Xander’s console. It was a new Dragon Ultrazord Formation. Unfortunately, it required the Yellow Ranger who was currently unwilling to rejoin the team after barely escaping the Triumvirate battleship and her family business being totaled by a kaiju.

The formation also required the Green Dragon Zord which walked back into the ocean after its battle with the Triumvirate, never to be heard from afterward. Things were looking desperate.

The entire storm surged forward with Masthead. Lightning crackled all around. Thunder grew louder as the sea swelled around the titan’s legs. Trent called to Rose for assistance. Alphour attempted to summon Lori, the Yellow Ranger to no avail, but instead teleported a thin, lanky African American girl with a yellow jacket to the command center.

Tameka shrieked in terror upon seeing Alpha Four (aka Alphour) for the first time. The mantid robot was used to this reaction from humans and avoided leaving the Rangers’ Command Center most days. Tameka was holding Lori’s Morpher, complete with her Power Coin. Rose looked up from the monitors upon hearing Tameka’s shriek and quickly wheeled her chair out into the open.
