Description:
A massive serpent with mottled scales, a slightly beaked snout, and a disturbing ruff of turkey-like feathers that flare when it prepares to strike. Its eyes gleam with predatory cunning, and its venom can freeze a victim’s limbs in seconds.

MONSTER ATTACKS

d6 Attacks:

1. Bite: The boalisk lunges forward and sinks its fangs into one target within 4 meters for 1d8 piercing damage plus paralyzing poison (Potency 12).

2. Constrict: The boalisk wraps its coils around one target within 2 meters, dealing 1d8 bludgeoning damage. The target must make an opposed STR (Boalisk has a 14 for this.) or Brawling roll (Does not count as an action) or be grappled. Grappled characters may attempt to break free on their turn by repeating the STR or Brawling roll. If grappled on the boalisk’s next turn, the character must repeat this attempt or take 1d8 crushing damage (Armor does not apply.) The boalisk automatically breaks the constriction if it takes another action or moves more than 2 meters.

3. Feather Display: The boalisk rears up and flares its turkey-feather crest. All creatures within 10 meters with line of sight to the creature must make a WIL roll or roll on the Fear table.

4. Gaze: All targets within 8 meters and line of sight to the creature must roll EVADE (Free action) to avert their gaze or immediately be paralyzed for 1d4 turns.

5. Stare: The boalisk locks eyes with one target it can see within 8 meters. Unless an EVADE or Parry roll is made by the target, they are frozen in place and cannot move or take any actions. This lasts one Shift or until the creature is killed unless remedied by magic.

6. Venom Spit: The boalisk whips its head and sprays venom in a narrow 3-meter line. All creatures in the area must make a AGL roll or be coated in paralyzing poison (Potency 10). No damage, but very dangerous.
