The posting streak will likely end on Tuesday.
We had a good run- three solid years here on Jeff’s Game Box. The blog isn’t going away, but Tuesday will probably mark the end of the daily post streak. I’ve been struggling with time over the past few months, especially.
This blog has been a constant source of amusement, therapy, and creative purpose for nearly three and a half years. Part hobby, part job, part personal journal. Posting every single day kept me moving, making content, and dreaming. But… it’s not quite enough to get money flowing.

That said, I’m not going anywhere. Neither is the blog.
I’m planning a bit of restructuring on the site. All the familiar pages will remain, but I’ll be trimming back the categories and narrowing the focus. The new goal is to publish about three articles a week, plus regular monthly features and the occasional extra. Things like Freedom Day, Behind the Screen, Silly Internet TTRPG Arguments, and Ask the Old Guy are here to stay.
I’ll still be proudly shilling for Free League Publishing. Dragonbane remains my absolute favorite, and I’ll continue regular Monday and Wednesday content focused on Dragonbane and fantasy TTRPGs. There are several projects in the works that we’ll be talking about in future posts.
The ol’ “To Do” list is still packed. I have reviews to write for a bunch of Free League titles—and games from other publishers too. I haven’t stopped tinkering with new systems just because I’m obsessed with Dragonbane. And many of you have kindly sent me material that I still owe thoughtful reviews for. It’s coming.
This Doesn’t Mean I’m Leaving YouTube.
One of my biggest fears when starting the YouTube channel—aside from a few toxic individuals who shan’t be named—was that it might pull me away from blogging. I’m happy to report that hasn’t happened.

I still feel more drawn to writing than to video content. It fits better with what I want to build, including the new project that’ll be hitting DriveThruRPG soon.
I like YouTube. I certainly watch enough of it. But over the last few weeks, I’ve realized that making five videos a week is a tall order. Even with my low-key editing style, just finding the time to shoot the A-roll is a challenge. That’s why some videos still go out “faceless.” Summer’s going to be a challenge on that front, and that’s okay.
The Bigger Picture.
I’ve been trying to carve out more time to build content—character sheets, encounters, maybe even full-length Dragonbane adventures. After that, we’ll see what time allows. I’d still like to do something with BRP or Cryptworld horror adventures. ICONS keeps calling, too, because supers gaming is still all that and a bag of chips.
I’ll admit I’m also pretty behind on housework. Some days, I just don’t have the spoons to get everything done. Summer’s a good season to play catch-up. Theoretically, I’ll even have some help around the house.
I love all of you. Thank you for being here—for reading, watching, playing, running games, and just being part of this. The content flows because of you.
Keep on gaming.
See you tomorrow for the Monday Monster.
Thank you for being here with me today. I appreciate you. Keep it real, but please strive for positivity, too. Please embrace the things that bring you the most joy in your life.
