Simple Magic Items For Your Game

For use with Dragonbane RPG.

Soup Stone: This seemingly normal rock produces a tasty soup of the owner’s choice when dropped into a container of boiling water. The soup heals 1d6 HP and 1d4 WP per Shift. Can be used once per day. (4 Shifts) The soup may be shared with friends with the benefits equally divided. (Only one roll for HP and WP split amongst those consuming the soup.)

Gourmet Soup Stone: This stone functions the same was as the previous stone with the additional benefit of removing one condition when consumed. The gourmet soup also heals all who consume it for 1d6 HP and 1d4 WP.

Gruel Stone: This variant of the Soup Stone provides “tasty” oat gruel once per Shift. Eating a bowl of this thin, watery, flavorless gruel heals the owner for 1d4 HP. It still counts as food for everyone else should they wish to partake of the stone’s bounty. Works once per day (4 Shifts.) Enjoy.

Rose Quartz Pendant: This piece of rose quartz is heart-shaped, finely polished, and bound in a leather cord to be worn around the neck. It provides the wearer an instant successful Death Roll once per day if and only if  the wearer has someone in the world who cares about them. Works once per day (4 shifts.)

Demon Detector: This polished magical Selenite stone glows any time a demon or demonically possessed person is within 66 meters. The closer the demon or person gets, the brighter the stone glows. The glow can’t be turned off, but the stone can be covered with thick cloth, leather, or canvas to prevent the glow from  showing. The magic of the stone also prevents it from dissolving in water so that it can be worn around the neck or embedded in a piece of armor should the owner desire to do so.

Dowsing Stick: This simple, short, polished oak stick will point toward any potable water within 100 meters on command. This ability may be used once per Shift.
