I’m referring to another ongoing YouTube incident.
There are a couple of individuals on YouTube in the TTRPG space who, umm… I’m no psychologist, but y’all might want to consider speaking to a therapist or someone who will listen. As I want to keep this on the up-and-up, I’m not going to call them out by name. They don’t deserve any additional harassment and I’d rather talk about more positive things.
These two individuals on their own separate channels have verbally attacked, trolled, or whatever you want to call it, my close friend the OG GM on numerous occasions. I would attempt to appeal to their better nature, but I fear it might be totally pointless and just drag me and my tiny audience into the whole thing. I might already be the subject of a couple of videos out there.
OG posted on this very conundrum recently. That video can be found here. Damned if he responds to the critics, damned if he lets them trash talk him to no end while proclaiming false glory on the social media battlefield.
Here’s a deep thought: Don’t sh🦆t on my friend.
Feel free to disagree. I think we should be kind to one another on YouTube and in real life. We sure as Hell ought to be kind to one another at the game table. Remember we’re here for TableTop RolePlaying Game content? Remember gaming? Anyone?
I think the OG GM is a great guy. He’s super knowledgeable about the TTRPG hobby and industry. He’s an accomplished game designer, a professional of the highest caliber. I’ve also chatted with him on X (Twitter.) I would do anything to help my friend succeed. I think he’s a great guy. Without getting overly personal, I wish I’d started a dialogue with him years ago.
People are going to disagree with me. Some people don’t like the OG GM. He’s blocked some people on social media. He’s said some things in the past that maybe weren’t too popular or politically correct. Hey, I’m rough around the edges and make my share of mistakes, too. He’s entitled to his opinion just as you’re entitled to yours.

I’m not dropping names. I would really appreciate it if these old feuds with OG GM would just drop. You don’t deserve to keep dwelling in negative emotion. He doesn’t deserve it, either. In the words of the immortal Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?”
Seriously, there’s room on TTRPG YouTube for all of us. We’re all in this together. Why can’t he do his thing and you do yours? (I just had this same conversation with my kids today. Yikes!)
No, we don’t have to all hold hands and make nice to the point of swimming in toxic positivity.(More on that elsewhere.) We’re mostly adults here. We can agree to disagree without the mudslinging and general unpleasantness on a public platform such as YouTube. I’m making this appeal here publicly because maybe others need to hear it as well.

Long time followers of my blog know that I am a major proponent of peace, understanding, and Universal love. There’s room for all of us on YouTube, in the TTRPG hobby, and in the real world. We don’t have to compete. We’re all in this together.
This is the fourth rewrite of this article because I was trying to keep on topic without getting overly woo-woo and spiritual. It is a bit of a deeper subject. We should all be striving to find things to agree on rather than tearing each other apart constantly. If you’re a TTRPG content creator, please find the joys in creating content in whatever form and just let other people do the same. Why waste energy calling people out when it could be spent more productively?
