Description

The Stonehide Jotun is a massive, troll-like humanoid said to be born from the mountains themselves. Its body is covered in slabs of rock-like skin, giving it the appearance of a living cairn. Unlike common trolls or ogres, it is semi-intelligent, enough to wield crude weapons or hurl boulders but still driven by hunger and territorial rage. Its booming roars echo through valleys and forests, striking fear into those who wander too close.
This monster is persuadable.

Adventure Seed

The Stonehide Jotun has claimed a mountain pass vital to trade caravans. Merchants are desperate for heroes to clear the path, but the Jotun may not be entirely mindless. Remnants of painted symbols and crude carvings near its lair suggest a culture long forgotten. Will the adventurers slay the beast to restore commerce, or attempt to uncover and bargain with the Jotun’s ancient pride?
