MONSTER STAT BLOCK
Lunarcap Mycelian Spore King.
Description:
A squat, humanoid fungus whose cap glows with a soft, pearly luminescence. Its body is mottled silver‑gray, and fine dust of moonstone fragments drifts from its gills as it moves.
Persuadable: This monster can and will listen to reason. It is very slow to speak and not overly aggressive by nature.

MONSTER ATTACKS
Roll a d6 to determine the Lunarcap Mycelian Spore King’s action:
- Spore Burst. Releases a cloud of shimmering spores in a 6 meter cone. Each target must Evade (AGL) or be slowed (Half movement) for 1d6 turns.
- Moonlit Slam. A heavy fist strike coated in luminescent dust deals 2d6 Bludgeoning damage to one target and causes them go glow for 1 Shift or until washed off.
- Luminous Spores. Sprays spores at one creature within 8 meters Target is Dazed and contracts a faint blue glow that is contagious on touch (Virulence 12.) The target glows in the dark out to 10 meters until washed and healed.
- Fungal Tendrils. Roots sprout beneath all foes within 6 meters who are immediately immobilized (cannot move) unless they spend their next action to break free (Opposed STR roll vs. 10).
- Lunar Shards. A special gland on the Spore King spews special spores onto one target within 6 meters. The target is coated in a purple goo, a special hallucinogenic toxin Full Effect: Must make a CON Roll each turn (not an action) until washed off. Failure means having to spend 1 WP or make a successful WIL roll to act coherently on your turn and seeing things that aren’t really there for one Shift. Partial Effect: You become Sickly. If another character comes into contact with the purple goo, they must immediately make a CON Roll as well or spend 1 Shift contemplating the greater meaning of everything right along with the initial target.
- Regenerative Slime. Passively emits healing slime. The Mycelian regains 1d6 HP (up to its maximum) instead of taking an action. This slime can also be consumed by other Mycelians in order to heal themselves.
Background
Deep within crystalline caverns where strange fungi thrive under the glow of phosphorescent minerals, the Lunarcap Mycelians dwell in silent colonies. Unlike surface mushroom kin, these kin have bonded with moonstone dust, granting them both their gentle luminescence and potent psionic essence.
Communities are guided by the Spore King, whose ritual inhalation of drifting spores reveals faint visions of possible futures. They cultivate other fungi, gently harvest minerals, and defend their groves with bursts of dazzling spores and radiant shards. Tales tell of travelers deemed respectful of the Lunarcap sanctums being invited to partake in a spore‑vision ceremony, glimpsing prophetic images in the drifting dust.
Use Lunarcap Mycelians as mysterious allies illuminating hidden corridors, guardians of arcane fungal groves, or foreshadowers of deeper lunar mysteries waiting in your next underground adventure!
