I apologize for using AI art as a mockup in that article.
I thought it was a good idea at the time. Then again, that is historically the reasoning behind a lot of blunders. My intentions don’t translate as well as I would maybe like on social media.
I want to make it clear that I will not use AI art in any form in a final product. I see it as a rough sketch for use as proof of concept. It’s like drawing a quick sketch in my notebook or on the back of a napkin with a Sharpie marker. I’m a little better than stick figures but no means a professional artist. If I stopped to draw every creature I came up with, I wouldn’t get much else done during the week. I’m good at storyboarding art.
I apologize again. I’m functioning on about three broken hours of sleep which is becoming par normal around here. My normal brain fog is amped up when I’m this tired and my human internal barometer is going nuts. )There’s a line about a weather control conspiracy theory here somewhere.) I tried to take a shortcut on art, and it flopped.
My dragon concept is going back to being private for now. It’s okay. I’ve got plenty more where that came from in my notes. We’ll try again with a new Monday Monster next week.
in the meantime, Wizards of the Coast is dropping their new and improved 2025 Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual. People are already up in arms about the Orcs. I’m sure we’ll be having the Orc discussion again sometime soon along with whatever else comes up. We’re due for a good WotC art controversy any day now.
Thank you for being here. I’d like to offer a huge thanks to PJ Coffey and Symatt on BlueSky for their assistance. You guys rock. I’ll be reposting PJ’s list of art resources very soon on multiple accounts. Thank you!
