GOOBLER STAT BLOCK
Description: A monstrous turkey with the jaws of a shark instead of its beak. Its mouth and throat are filled with rows of sharp teeth like that of a lamprey. It has been known to swallow creatures of smaller size in one massive bite. This monster only appears once per year to satisfy its voracious appetite for flesh before returning to its cave to rest for another year.
Regeneration: The Goobler regains 1d6 HP per round as long as it can find meat.
Ferocity: 2 Size: Large
Movement: 16 Armor: 6 HP: 32
Goobler Attacks:
D6 Attacks:
1: Gobble, gobble, gobble! All within 30 meters capable of hearing make a Fear test.
2: Goring Bite: 2d8 damage to one target within 2 meters. Wound will continue to bleed for 1d4 damage per round until treated with magic or a successful Healing roll is made. The attack may be Evaded or parried as usual.
3: Thrashing and Gnashing: The monster thrashes in all directions. All within 4 meters take 1d8 slashing damage. Successful EVADE puts the character just outside of The Goobler’s reach.
4: Charging Head Butt: The Goobler charges up to an additional 16 meters on top of its regular move action, striking up to 2 targets in front of it for 2d6 bludgeoning damage and causing them to be knocked straight back for the equivalent number of meters. Targets knocked back into obstacles take an additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage. Targets knocked back are PRONE on their next turn.
5: Gnaw: Goobler goes after the nearest target with the highest CON. The bite deals 2d8 slashing damage (Parry or Evade as normal, armor applies.) The Goobler is healed for the equivalent of the damage dealt.
6: Swallow Whole: Goobler swallows one size Medium or smaller opponent whole, inflicting 2D6 slashing damage. The victim can keep attacking The Goobler from within, where it has no armor rating. But for each round spent in the beast’s belly, the victim bleeds for 1d6 damage on their turn (armor has no effect). The Goobler heals for the same amount each time.
The victim gets out once The Goobler is dead, however the 1d6 bleeding damage may only be stopped with magic or a successful HEALING roll.
If this result is rolled twice (or more) treat all subsequent rolls as Goring Bite above.
