Game or Gamer I miss: D6 Star Wars from West End Games.

This is probably one of the toughest questions of them all. I could probably name half a dozen or more that all belong at the very top of the list. I love TTRPGs. I’d still be running most if not all of them if I had players and time. Narrowing it down to just one is tough at best.

If I had to choose only one game to run for the rest of my days, it would probably be Star Wars by West End Games. I’ve spent more hours with those books than any other. It makes me sad every time I think about WEG losing the license and what Disney has done to the overall franchise. There were some truly golden years there, however. I made some of my best friends of all time because of that game.

The D6 System that Star Wars was built around was flexible, easy to learn, fun, and crunchy enough to keep everything flowing. I could probably still pop out a basic character in about 5 or 10 minutes. I can put a pretty sweet ship together in my head in about the same amount of time statistically. It might take a little longer to draw out on graph paper. Yeah, that game…

May the Force Be With You, Always.
