Memorable moment of play: “It’s Morphin Time.”

Probably my favorite moment of every play session of Power Rangers RPG from Renegade Games. Even in solo sessions it’s something I at least imagine the characters doing. During group play with the family, we have to act out the whole sequence of call out, characters get energized, armored up, and group pose with a massive propane explosion in the background. After that we go to the quick version of “Go-go Lightning Force (color or Zord.)

I think it’s worthwhile to award a Story Point to the group for actually acting out the whole thing at least once during the session. Maybe it’s me. Maybe it seems contrived and annoying to my older teen players (ironically.) It’s still fun.

It’s not something I would necessarily expect any other group to do. That said, my guess is most Power Rangers RPG players are also fans of the series. I bet if the GM encourages it, the players will probably do the call out. The more obscure teams might have to kinda fudge their own version of it together.

My standard caveat is always do what is most fun for your table. Nobody on the Internet has the authority to tell someone else how to run their game. I think it makes Power Rangers fun and memorable.

I’m going to double down a bit on my own Power Rangers RPG efforts. It’s been a while and I miss writing episode scenarios and fan fiction. In light of the reboot series getting cancelled, that RPG is going to fill the void left in our lack of MMPR series.
