I’ve been watching horror movies again lately.
I watched It Came From Below the other night. It was an okay movie, but the monster was especially inspiring. For one thing it had the power to leave sigils or runes drawn on the cave walls to hypnotize people into following it. It was also brutal when it came to eating its victims. Sounds like a good candidate for a Dragonbane monster.

The Thing From Below is always encountered with 1d6 thralls it has mind controlled. Thall: Evade 14, Knives 14 — STR +D4 12 — Knife. d8+d4 STR. Once an explorer, now a mindless minion of a creature from the deep.

Note to GMs: For a more difficult encounter, change the Thralls to Ghouls from the Dragonbane Bestiary.
