The Deadline for the BRP Design Challenge draws ever closer.
Here’s the link again. I probably won’t stop talking about it until everything is said and done. It’s a great contest and a good system to be working with.
BRP: Universal Game Engine has the benefit of being incredibly well playtested over decades of Pendragon, Call of Cthulhu, and Runequest. The game is fairly intuitive if one has ever played Dungeons & Dragons 5E. Just swap a lot of the skill rolls out for percentile dice. I recommend the game for anyone who likes a bit of crunch with their fluff.
My own game is a work in progress. I’m not getting as far as I perhaps wanted to originally. Our oldest child graduates from High School at the end of May. We also have a ton of sports going on with the other kids. My free time is going to actually dry up completely come summer. June is filled with band camps, swimming, and baseball. Who knows what July and August have in store?
I’ve got to get back to my work. I’ll be posting some previews and a few more details in the days to come. I had planned on it earlier this month, but I keep falling asleep on my keyboard at night instead of working. Hopefully that will change now that our oldest has changed jobs.
If you’re working on an entry, I wish you all the best of luck. Hopefully see you at the finish line. Win or lose, this definitely has been a learning experience.
Thank you for being here today with me. I appreciate you. Please embrace the things that bring you the most joy.
