Some random commenter finally put me over the edge today.

I opened my notifications to find someone had left a rather nasty comment on an older post today. I’m annoyed on multiple levels. Let’s just say I don’t deal well with unconstructive criticism. I know I probably picked the wrong field for this because it’s the Internet and there are trolls among us.

I’m a TableTop RolePlaying Game writer, Game Master, Player, and enthusiast. I never claimed to be a great journalist. Yes, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Sociology (Double Major, no Minor.)

This blog is not ENWorld. Please do not rely strictly on my site for TTRPG news. I fire off a lot of opinions on here. I have my own biases. It’s a big Internet. Please do what I do and go out there and poke around. Use your own discernment.

Yes, occasionally I do manage to say something some people are going to find challenging or inflammatory. If I say something you disagree with that much, please ask yourself why it’s so bad. Feel free to contact me via email or message me on my various socials. I usually get back to people within 24 hours on a normal day.

Disclaimer: Statements expressed in this article are strictly my opinion. If you disagree or have a different opinion, that’s okay. I’m not an expert on everything. I’m not always right. I’m just writing from my experience as I know it. Your mileage may vary.

Please feel free to start your own blog.

I use my disclaimer block a lot. It’s true that most of what you see here is my opinion. You might not share that opinion. If it resonates with you, awesome. If not, there are dozens if not hundreds of other ways to express your opinion. Please feel free to seek one out and publish on it.

I form my opinion based on my deep immersion in TTRPG publishing, gaming, and the industry. I was born at night. I wasn’t born last night. 51 years on planet Earth and 40+ years in the TTRPG hobby may have taught me a few things.

I often think, “I’m really into [TTRPG related subject.]” I should really write about that. I have a blog. How very convenient. New Headline: Let’s Talk About [TTRPG related subject.]

There is nothing to stop most people from doing the same. I was on Blogger for a couple of years before moving here to WordPress. I get ads for Wix regularly. If writing isn’t your jam, there’s Tik Tok, YouTube, and Twitch, too.

Sorry, comments will be closed or heavily moderated going forward.

My social media pages and this blog are a safe space for BIPOC creators, neurodivergent, disabled people, and any LGBTQIA folx. I have friends from all over the political and religious spectrums on social media. I feel the Internet should be a place to exchange ideas and learn from one another.

I want to support my fellow TTRPG writers, editors, GMs and players as much as possible. I prefer to do it from the quiet space behind my keyboard if I can. I’m just one guy with a blog and some strong beliefs about life and TTRPGs.

Thank you for stopping by. I always appreciate it. Please do that which brings you the most joy.
